Colonel's XI v Crossbats: Crossbats 9 for 229 off 40 overs defeated Colonel's IX by 134 runs who were all out for a miserable 95 runs. Costner took 4 wickets in a mixed spell of swing bowling and Paul Muller made a good debut knock for AHCC scoring 28 runs. Losing to a side for the first time in 8 years which is captained by a kiwi was not easy to bear but they were the better team on the day. Much catching practise is needed.
